Our main response vehicle for most of our calls, this vehicle is equipped with our medical bags, heart monitor, Lucas, SCBA tanks and a variety of other critical tools we may need in an emergency.
This vehicle is a versatile piece of equipment and its proper function and well maintained supply of gear is a priority for us in order to maintain the high standard of care we provide to the community. Before the ambulance arrives, this vehicle means help has come.
This vehicle is our main engine we use to fight structure fires of all kinds; large enough to carry six firefighters, their SCBAs, medical equipment, hundreds of feet of hose, extrication tools or "the jaws of life", hand tools and several hundred gallons of water this engine is our workhorse during our toughest response.
In addition to structure fires, Engine 1 is our primary response vehicle for car accidents where both its size and the extrication equipment on board is critical to safely operating on dangerous roads.
